In August 2020 Jim joined the Smallegan Real Estate Team at Keller Williams Grand Rapids East as a Special Agent assisting buyers, sellers, and investors, after years of considering a career path in real estate. Jim trained purposefully to ensure absolute confidence in his new undertaking and is backed by a team of experienced real estate professionals that continue to invigorate and challenge him to improve every day.

Prior to real estate, Jim, an accomplished guitarist/singer with a multitude of major brand sponsorships, spent 12 years traveling the world full-time with his band [For the Fallen Dreams]; a commercially successful group with 6 full-length albums and countless tours under their belt. Upon their industry debut in 2008, the group received critical acclaim for an energetic live show, and what would be a breakthrough record considered timeless by an entire generation of listeners of the genre. They continued strong over the next decade-plus, releasing popular albums and performing across every continent until COVID struck, placing the entire music industry on hold. Jim is responsible for musical composition, business communications, and the creative vision that sustained a long, prosperous career.

Jim lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan with his wife, two daughters, and dog “Lola”. When he isn’t working vigorously to defend his client’s best interests, you may find him in the gym, his studio, exploring other countries, or spending time with his family."
